Basketball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Bancroft-Rosalie's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Bancroft-Rosalie unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Howells-Dodge Jaguars. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 60-46.

Bancroft-Rosalie's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 20-4. As for Howells-Dodge, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hartington-Newcastle will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Bancroft-Rosalie surely won't give up without a fight. As for Howells-Dodge, they will welcome Axtell on Monday.
