Soccer Game Preview: Grand Oaks vs. Conroe

The Grand Oaks Grizzlies will square off against the Conroe Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Grand Oaks is headed into the match having not lost since January 20 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let New Caney get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for Grand Oaks in their matchups with New Caney: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Conroe made sure to put some goals up on the board against Oak Ridge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the War Eagles with a sharp 8-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Conroe's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Oak Ridge are ranked 607th).

Conroe's win bumped their record up to 10-5-2. As for Grand Oaks, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3-2.

Grand Oaks got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in January against Conroe by a conclusive 4-0 score. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
