Basketball Game Preview: Illiana Christian Vikings vs. Hanover Central Wildcats

The Illiana Christian Vikings will take on the Hanover Central Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Illiana Christian came up short against Culver Academies and fell 55-42. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Eagles are ranked 102nd).

Meanwhile, Hanover Central suffered their biggest defeat since January 28th on Thursday. They were outmatched by Crown Point and fell 65-36. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Wildcats' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

This is the second loss in a row for Hanover Central and nudges their season record down to 12-12. As for Illiana Christian, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Illiana Christian opened the new year with a less-than-successful 45-35 defeat to Hanover Central. Can Illiana Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
