Softball Recap: Wilsonville Comes Up Short

The matchup between Wilsonville and La Salle on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats came up short against the Falcons, falling 15-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 19, 2024.

Wilsonville's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-11. As for La Salle, they moved to 14-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Wilsonville will challenge Canby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for La Salle, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-7 win against Hillsboro on the 21st.
