Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Monroe Trojans

Lincoln is 2-8 against Monroe since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Lincoln Railsplitters will challenge the Monroe Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Lincoln will be strutting in after a victory while Monroe will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Lincoln beat Huron 51-41.

Meanwhile, Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 59-49 to Northview. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 160th in Michigan, while the Wildcats are ranked 46th in Ohio).

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Lincoln took a serious blow against Monroe when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-29. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
