After flying high against Meridian last Thursday, Brandon came back down to earth. The Brandon Bulldogs took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pearl Pirates on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, with their most recent defeat being a 73-70 loss back in January.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah Morey, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Morey a new career-high.
