Soccer Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon managed to keep up with Southridge until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wildcats came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0. Mt. Vernon just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Southridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Mt. Vernon has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Princeton on the 15th. As for Southridge, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against South Spencer on the 18th.
