Volleyball Game Preview: Marshall Lions vs. Westville Tigers + How To Watch

The Marshall Lions will face off against the Westville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Thursday, it was close, but Marshall sidestepped Lawrenceville for a 2-1 victory.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 27-25, 27-25.

Marshall found their leader in sophomore Ali Sheets, who had nine digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Westville came up short against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on Thursday and fell 2-0.

While Westville had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19.

Westville's defeat dropped their record down to 26-8. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 22-7.

Marshall was able to grind out a solid victory over Westville when the teams last played on October 6th, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
