Soccer Game Preview: Washington Academy vs. George Stevens Academy

The Washington Academy Raiders will challenge the George Stevens Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Friday, Washington Academy came up short against Ellsworth and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Washington Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Ellsworth are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, George Stevens Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Kent.

George Stevens Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Washington Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Washington Academy skirted past George Stevens Academy 4-3 in their previous matchup on Monday. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
