Recap: Lake View Chiefs vs. Levelland Lobos

After flying high against the Big Spring Steers last Friday, the Lake View Chiefs came back down to earth. Lake View took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Levelland on Tuesday. Lake View has struggled against Levelland recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Lake View's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Delgado, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Braylon White was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Lake View has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season. As for Levelland, they pushed their record up to 14-17 with that win, which was their third straight at home.

Lake View will head out on the road to square off against Sweetwater at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Levelland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Big Spring at 6:30 p.m. Levelland is facing Big Spring at the right time seeing as Big Spring is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
