Fike won the last time they faced Southern Wayne and Sam Finch did his part to make sure it happened again. The Golden Demons blew past the Saints 48-12 on Friday for which the team can thank Finch, who threw for 243 yards and six TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. He is becoming a predictor of Fike's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Fike's leading receiver Darryl Loatman was Finch's top target yet again, picking up 105 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 59 yards.

Fike's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Southern Wayne, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, Fike and Southern Wayne will both be playing C.B. Aycock the next time they take the field. The Golden Demons will host the Golden Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
