Softball Recap: Mission Viejo Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

With a playoff win on the line, Mission Viejo rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the La Quinta Blackhawks.

Mission Viejo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for La Quinta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-5-1.

Looking ahead, Mission Viejo will square off against Ramona at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Diablos 3.9, the Rams 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. La Quinta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
