Softball Recap: Fayette County Comes Up Short

Fayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pickens Academy Pirates.

Fayette County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Pickens Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-7-1.

Fayette County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against South Lamar on the 5th. As for Pickens Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-3 defeat against Berry on the 5th.
