Softball Recap: Dansville Triumphs

Dansville was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Byron Eagles, sneaking past 3-2.

Laci Neal spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dansville's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ryker Graf, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Dansville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. As for Byron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

As of now, neither Dansville nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
