Preston is a perfect 3-0 against American Falls since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Indians will host the Beavers at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Preston comes in on five and American Falls on three.
Preston gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Bear Lake by a score of 14-9.
Ellie Keller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. Keller was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Averie Madsen and Brielle Biggs did most of the damage at the plate: Madsen went 4-for-5 with three doubles, two runs, and one stolen base, while Biggs went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Madsen is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Chloe Dunn was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Preston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, American Falls hadn't done well against Snake River recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Beavers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Beavers have won by just one run.
Preston's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for American Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.
Preston skirted past American Falls 12-10 when the teams last played last Thursday. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
