Clinton-Massie extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Clinton-Massie Falcons vs. Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs

The Clinton-Massie Falcons suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-44 walloping at the hands of Lynchburg-Clay. Clinton-Massie has not had much luck with Lynchburg-Clay recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Lynchburg-Clay was led to victory by Jade Massey and Addison West. Massey scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while West scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Massey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Madison McMullen was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Clinton-Massie's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton-Massie will take on New Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. New Richmond has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 20. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on North Adams at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. North Adams is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
