Heber Springs came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Izard County Cougars a 5-0 shutout.

Heber Springs' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Izard County, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.

As for Izard County, they will venture away from home to take on Sloan-Hendrix at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Greyhounds at the right time seeing as the Greyhounds are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
