Football Recap: Corona Takes a Loss

The Corona Panthers ended up a good deal behind the Shadow Hills Knights on Tuesday and lost 27-13. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Knights are ranked 59th).

Although Corona took the loss, they still got scores from Elisapeta Luga and Isabella Acosta.

Corona's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Shadow Hills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-4.

Coming up, Corona will square off against Norco at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 9.9 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Shadow Hills, they will take on Indio at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
