Basketball Recap: Oakfield Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Oakfield waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Lourdes Knights with points to spare, taking the game 62-48. Given the Oaks' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Knights are ranked 438th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakfield pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points over those games. As for Lourdes, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
