Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Timberwolves vs. Arlington Eagles

The Jackson Timberwolves will face off against the Arlington Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Jackson's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Arlington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Arlington will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Jackson extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Timberwolves came out on top against Stanwood by a score of 5-2.

Austin Halvorson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Arlington nor Marysville Getchell made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Eagles lost 12-2 to Marysville Getchell. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Arlington also got a good showing from Vance Jewett, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Arlington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Delcoure, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Delcoure has hit this season.

Arlington's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.

Arlington's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Jackson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game.
