Recap: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Hunter Wolverines
This season hasn't been kind to the Hillcrest Huskies, who are still winless after their fifth match. They lost to Hunter on the road by a decisive 48-30 margin on Tuesday. Hillcrest lost against Hunter in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 45-30 score last time.
Hunter was led to victory by Kalysa Ng and Grace Gallagher. Ng scored 8 points along with 10 steals and 6 assists, while Gallagher dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was DaKota F Peyton, who scored 8 points.
The last time Hillcrest won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Hunter, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Hillcrest is on the road again on Thursday and play against Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Juan Diego Catholic is ranked 15th, while Hillcrest is ranked 23rd). Hunter and Corner Canyon will face off at 5:15 p.m. on December 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Corner Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
