They were dealt a 43-8 loss at the hands of the Butte Valley Bulldogs. The Cardinals were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Big Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Butte Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.

Big Valley has already played their next game, a 30-28 loss against Herlong on the 17th. As for Butte Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 34-32 win against Westwood on the 17th.
