Softball Recap: Coronado Finds Home Field Redemption Against Centennial

There's no place like home for Coronado, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Centennial Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 14-2 defeat.

The result came thanks to Sarah Lopez's shutout, as she gave up just four hits.

At the plate, Bailey Goldberg was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Paisley Magdaleno, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Centennial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.

Coincidentally, Coronado and Centennial will both be playing Shadow Ridge the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
