Basketball Recap: Waynesfield-Goshen Wins Going Away Against Upper Scioto Valley

There's no place like home for Waynesfield-Goshen, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Upper Scioto Valley Rams with a sharp 55-31 victory on Thursday. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Despite the defeat, Upper Scioto Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Layla Hunsicker went 8 of 15 en route to 20 points and five rebounds.

Waynesfield-Goshen now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Upper Scioto Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Waynesfield-Goshen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-42 win against Fairlawn on the 21st. As for Upper Scioto Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-55 defeat against North Baltimore on the 27th.
