Softball Recap: Douglas Beats Amphitheater for Their Fifth Straight Win

Douglas never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Amphitheater Panthers as they made off with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Douglas' fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Amphitheater, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Douglas didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Thatcher on the 16th. Hopefully Amphitheater payed attention to the Bulldogs' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
