Baseball Recap: Rialto Knights vs. Bloomington Bruins

Rialto won the last time they faced Bloomington and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Izzeah Zepeda made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Isaac Carrillo was incredible, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 4-for-5. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hugo Sanchez, who went 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

Rialto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloomington only posted a batting average of .192.

Rialto's record is now 8-3. As for Bloomington, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
