Baseball Recap: Imperial Tigers vs. Southwest EC Eagles
Imperial fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Southwest EC on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 12-11. Imperial got a massive performance out of Jacob Milan, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Milan is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Ares Velarde also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Imperial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Southwest EC, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-3.
