Soccer Game Preview: Compton vs. Lakewood

Compton hasn't had much luck against Lakewood recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tarbabes will be home for the holidays to greet the Lancers at 5:30 p.m. Compton will be strutting in after a victory while Lakewood will be coming in after a loss.

Compton is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lifeline Charter on Friday, sneaking past 3-2.

Meanwhile, Lakewood's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 3-0 to Warren. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lakewood came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Warren are ranked 301st).

Compton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-2. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1.
