Soccer Game Preview: Magnolia vs. Mena

The Magnolia Panthers will face off against the Mena Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Magnolia fell victim to Bauxite and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Miners by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Mena came up short against Nashville on Friday and fell 4-2. While losing is never fun, Mena can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Nashville are ranked 14th).

Magnolia now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Mena, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

Magnolia couldn't quite get it done against Mena in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
