Joaquin Gonzales and Oscar Carrillo secure win for Hebbronville

There's no place like home for the Hebbronville Longhorns, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-33 margin over Bruni. That's another feather in the cap for Hebbronville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Hebbronville was led to victory by Joaquin Gonzales and Oscar Carrillo. Gonzales scored 11 points, while Carrillo scored ten points along with five assists and five steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jeffery Shreve was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.

Hebbronville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Bruni, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hebbronville will square off against Bloomington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bruni will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Perlita on January 9, 2024.
