Soccer Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 goals the game before, Clay was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Springfield Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, Clay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Springfield are ranked 36th).

Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-3. As for Springfield, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clay is set to challenge their familiar foe Ross at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Springfield will take on rival Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
