Volleyball Recap: Kenzie Wilson and Maddyn Davis Secure Win for Eaton

Eaton barely beat Waynesville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Eaton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-19.

Eaton was led to victory by Maddyn Davis and Kenzie Wilson. Davis had seven digs and three aces, while Wilson had 31 assists and five digs. Wilson has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 30 times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Eaton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waynesville only served five aces.

Eaton moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Waynesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eaton is set to square off against their familiar foe Carlisle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Waynesville will challenge rival Oakwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
