Recap: Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators vs. Burke Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators, who are still winless after their 19th game. They had to suffer through a rough 76-36 loss at the hands of Burke. Lowcountry Leadership has struggled against Burke recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Burke's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juel Mack, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Mack scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terry Jenkins, who scored nine points along with three blocks and two steals.
Lowcountry Leadership's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Burke, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowcountry Leadership will take on Military Magnet Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Military Magnet Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Burke, they will be playing at home against Cross at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cross comes in on six and Burke on three.
