Football Recap: Moreno Valley Vikings vs. Perris Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Moreno Valley). They were the clear victors by a 45-19 margin over the Perris Panthers on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Syree Matthews was his usual excellent self, throwing for 232 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 80 yards and one TD on only six carries. Those 232 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Trevon Williams was in the mix too, providing Moreno Valley with two scores.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Moreno Valley's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Oscar De La Torre with three. Moreno Valley got some further help from Cashawn Neal: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.
Moreno Valley's record is now 7-1. As for Perris, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
