Basketball Recap: Douglass' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Douglass had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 76-69 victory over Memphis Rise Academy on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 89-61 back in December of 2024.

Douglass' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9. As for Memphis Rise Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglass will challenge Memphis Business Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Memphis Rise Academy has already played their next game (against KIPP Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
