Soccer Recap: Neshoba Central Takes Down Center Hill in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Neshoba Central had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Center Hill Mustangs 3-2. For the Rockets, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2019.

Madelyn Collins and Sloane Blackstock scored all three of Neshoba Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 32 goals.

Neshoba Central pushed their record up to 14-5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matchups. As for Center Hill, they moved to 9-11 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Neshoba Central will challenge Warren Central at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Warren Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season. Center Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
