Baseball Recap: Simeon Wins Going Away Against Kenwood

Simeon lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Kenwood, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's match. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 7-1 victory on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolverines have posted against the Broncos since May 7, 2021.

Daniel Jones Jr was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Simeon's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-6-1. As for Kenwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Simeon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
