Softball Recap: Flushing Takes a Loss

Flushing extended their losing streak to 11 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-15 in the process. They lost 15-5 to the Swartz Creek Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 back in April.

As for Swartz Creek, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-13 record. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

For Swartz Creek's part, the team relied heavily on Raeleigh Genovesi, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Joslynn Lyons, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flushing will take on Montrose at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Swartz Creek, they will challenge Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
