Basketball Recap: Hannah Froelich Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Loudonville

Norwayne won the last time they faced Loudonville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Norwayne Bobcats came out on top against the Loudonville Redbirds by a score of 52-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Norwayne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Froelich led the charge by going 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to six boards and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Maibach, who posted eight points along with seven assists and five boards.

Norwayne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Norwayne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Loudonville, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwayne will square off against Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loudonville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Knox at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Knox will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Loudonville surely won't give up without a fight.
