Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Heritage Academy and Bayou Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Patriots fell just short of the Colts by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by just one run.

Charlie Fowler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Avery, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-13-1. As for Bayou Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

While Heritage Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
