Basketball Recap: Tradition Prep Pirates vs. Coral Springs Charter Panthers
On Saturday, Tradition Prep beat the Panthers 63-50.
Tradition Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Armstrong, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Arisi, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Coral Springs Charter still got an impressive performance from Jalen McGregor, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. McGregor is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
Tradition Prep's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Coral Springs Charter, their defeat was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tradition Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Somerset Academy - Canyons has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for Coral Springs Charter, they will head out on the road to challenge the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Miramar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
