Flag Football Game Preview: Rich Township Raptors vs. Kankakee Kays

The Rich Township Raptors will take on the Kankakee Kays at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rich Township's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Bradley-Bourbonnais on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Boilermakers, falling 32-0. While losing is never fun, the Raptors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois flag football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Boilermakers are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kankakee). They took down Champaign Central 30-12 on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Kays with their most commanding win of the season.

Kankakee pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games. As for Rich Township, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
