Recap: Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints vs. Basehor-Linwood Bobcats
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 38-7 victory over Basehor-Linwood. The win was familiar territory for Saint Thomas Aquinas who now have three in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Cole Richardson, who rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Gavin Middendorf was another key contributor, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Saint Thomas Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Basehor-Linwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Saint Thomas Aquinas will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Tonganoxie at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Tonganoxie will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Saint Thomas Aquinas is ranked fourth). Basehor-Linwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
