Basketball Recap: Burroughs Takes a Loss

Burroughs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. The contest between them and the Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) Panthers didn't end well, with the Burroughs Bears falling 61-45. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 893rd, while the Panthers are ranked 375th).

Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA), the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Burroughs will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Castaic at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) and St. Francis will compete for holiday cheer on Monday.
