 Northeast Metro RVT had lost two consecutive heartbreakers to Whittier RVT and they left with a heavy heart again  on Friday. The Northeast Metro RVT Knights fell just short of the Whittier RVT Wildcats by a score of  11-10. One positive for Northeast Metro RVT, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 For Whittier RVT's part,  Logann Hatin made a big impact no matter where he played. He  tossed five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Hatin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive pitching appearances. Hatin was even better at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Hatin wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ben Hadley, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Corey Deziel was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 Northeast Metro RVT dropped their record down to 1-15 with that  loss, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Whittier RVT,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-7.
 Northeast Metro RVT will head out on the road to  face off against  Shawsheen Valley Tech at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Whittier RVT, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  12-9  defeat vs. Amesbury on the 11th.
