Softball Recap: Florala Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Florala's offense. They lost 16-0 to the Kinston Bulldogs on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in March.

Florala saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiley Caine, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Florala and nudges their season record down to 12-4. As for Kinston, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florala will take on Greenville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kinston, they will challenge Pleasant Home at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Bulldogs' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
