Soccer Game Preview: Wolfson vs. Englewood

The Wolfson Wolfpack will take on the Englewood Rams in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wolfson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Wolfson is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Stanton just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They and the Blue Devils finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Wolfpack happy, as they haven't lost a game since November 26th.

Their goal came courtesy of James O'Neal, who's now up to 14 this season.

Meanwhile, Englewood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Commanders out 3-2.

With that draw, Wolfson's record moves to 10-1-2. As for Englewood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Wolfson suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Englewood in their previous matchup back in January. Can Wolfson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
