Soccer Recap: George Washington Prep Plays to a Tie

While George Washington Prep's fans didn't get a definitive result on Wednesday, they were treated to the team's highest-scoring tie of the season. They and the Jordan Bulldogs finished up their game with a 3-3 draw. The outcome might've been different if Carlos Alcantar hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Ashmark Bermudez and Nathan Cornelius scored all three of George Washington Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

George Washington Prep's draw makes their record 5-6-4 this season. Meanwhile, Jordan's record is now 6-2-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Crenshaw the next time they take the pitch. George Washington Prep will host Crenshaw at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Jordan will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
