Severance had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Timnath Cubs. This was payback for the Silver Knights, who suffered a 19-16 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brady Iversen tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jackson Steenburgen, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Severance's record now sits at 8-2. As for Timnath, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Severance will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cubs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
