Recap: Westside Seminoles vs. Howard Huskies
The Westside Seminoles won the last time they faced the Howard Huskies , and things went their way on Friday too. Westside walked away with a 52-39 victory over Howard. Given Westside's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Howard is ranked 387th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chauncey Williams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcus Hood, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Westside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Howard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Howard also has no future games currently scheduled.
